 Kaskikot is located 12 kilometers west of Pokhara, north of Phewa Lake in Annapurna Massif and behind Sarangkot. It falls on the trekking route of Annapurna region. At an altitude of 1788 meters, Mounted Ridge, Kaskikot offers recreational Himalayan views. To the north of Kaskikot, Dhaulagiri can be seen in the far west. The Annapurna mountain range is clearly visible on this side. Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayas are clearly visible in the northern part, while Kaskikot is a tourist destination. There are hotels and guest houses in Deurali and Mala, Nepal. The milk collection center is located at Guntechaur, which supplies milk to Pokhara. There are also small industries such as poultry farming and handicrafts. General stores provide essential items such as oil, sugar, and salt to the community.The Casket Women's Financial Institution, founded by Krishna Poudel, has about 1,000 members. The Kalika Community Development Organization in Guntechaur is involved in the development of the village.        Education

There are primary schools in each ward. There is Kalika Higher Secondary School, the only higher education located in Mandradhuga up to class 12. Other perfect deaf lower secondary schools are up to class 8. There is also a private school, called Shree Vishwajyoti English School. Are up to class 8
There is a general health post equipped with primary medicine, which runs monthly health camps around the village. Some health sub-posts offer free treatment and vaccinations to children.

  7. Driving to the market OR visiting the village  school.
  8. Kaskikot is on the way to Annapurna Basecamp, Australian camp and other trekking starting points. It is also close to the Sarangot peak, a paraglider’s favourite destination. 
  9. In general life in the village is safe, and you should be able to eat anything offered without problems. So far we have had zero reported food related problem’s in this village. Food is basic but delicious Hindu food, prepared fresh from the house garden and freshly milked buffalo milk. A basic dinner is dal baht, a combo platter with lentil soup, rice, rotis and various other delicacies like pickled vegetables and of course curry.
  10. Drink only bottled water, even if the locals use tap water. Our hosts know that traveller’s need safe water to drink, and you can buy more from the village shop.
