Methlang Park

  Pokhara is known as an interesting tourist destination. The name of Pokhara is found all over Nepal and all over the world. I am introducing you to one of the interesting places in Pokhara. This is it! Methlang Park, it is located at 18 aMethlang, Pokhara metropolitan city Kaski.


 Methlang village, Pokhara is about two kilometers from Baglung bus park. Like various tourist areas, Methlang Village Park is also a delightful tourist destination. As a tourist destination like various tourist spots in Pokhara like Sarangkot, David falls and Shanti Stupa, this Methlang Park is also a very beautiful and attractive place. Most of the tourists come from morning to evening to walk in the park, to get fresh air as well as for physical exercise. Although Methlang Park looks small, it has a lot of features and importance. The park has four main areas and is divided into one, two, three, and four levels.

 

  At the first step we are greeted by the gate of Methlang park which is written as such; The National Heritage and Martyrs' Park, which represents something that has been sacrificed for the country, is a park that includes these people. As we enter the park, we see the statue of the late Yogendraman Sherchan on the right side of the park. Late. Yogendra Man Sherchan was a political leader affiliated with Nepali Congress. In the first multiparty election on February 12, 1959, he won a seat from the Mustang district defeating his first cousin Lalit Man Sherchan who ran as an independent.


 He was an Assistant Minister in BP Koirala's government. He was impressed with BP Koirala in Sundarijal for 8 years following the Royal coup in December 1960. Also, all the materials required for physical exercise are placed next to this statue. Tourists as well as Nepalese and people from Pokhara, young and old as well as children come to this park for physical exercise in the morning and evening as well as to get fresh air in the morning and watch the sunrise.

   The second feature of this place is that the tourists and the people of this place can spend their time from morning to evening and enjoy the view of Pokhara city from here. The beauty of this place has succeeded in attracting the mind, body, and attention of every person towards itself. Whether it is from International or domestic tourists, they come here to visit. 4. Late.Prithvi Narayan Shah

      He is the chief hero of this country. (His Majesty King Prithvi Narayan Shah (1779-1831) was the last ruler of the Gorkha Kingdom and the first monarch of the Kingdom of Nepal (also called the Kingdom of Gorkha). Prithvi Narayan Shah was a Shah dynasty king. He is known as the nation builder of modern Nepal, which was created by uniting twenty-two and twenty-four states divided into small states. In his memory, National Unity Day is celebrated in Nepal on the 27th of Push. Nepal was ruled by Rana till 2007. After seven years of revolution, Yogi Narharinath came to Nepal and started the process saying that the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Prithvinarayan Shah should be celebrated in Nepal.

 Late.Prithvi Narayan Shah

    Prithvi Narayan Shah laid the foundation of modern Nepal by transforming the Shah dynasty ruling in small areas (Bhirkot, Kaski, Lamjung Gorkha) into a dynasty of the whole of Nepal. The unification campaign started by Prithvi Narayan Shah was expanding and the border of the state of Nepal was extended to the river Tista in the east, Magadha in the south, and Sutlej in the west. After the Nepal-British War which started on November 3, 1871, BS, this territory was under Nepal's rule till the Treaty of Sugauli. Prithvi Narayan Shahle V.S. Though he passed away at Devighat in Nuwakot district on the day of Maghe Sankranti in 1831 BS at the age of 52, the Nepal Unification Campaign was being carried forward by his daughter-in-law Rani Rajendra Laxmi and son Bahadur Shah. 

The culmination of the Nepal Unification Campaign was after the Nepal-British Nepal-British War, which took place during the reign of his grandson King Kirwan. V.S. Until the Treaty of Sugauli in 1873 BS, the unification campaign lasted for a full 72 years. Since 2009, Yogi Narharinath, in coordination with the government, has formed a functioning committee to celebrate National Unity Day and Prithvi Day.

    Methlang Park is also on the list of various parks in Pokhara city where everyone's mind is engrossed in the mind. At the very top of this park is a statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah which is the pride of Nepal. There is a swing on the east side of the park where you can see the invisible beauty of Pokhara while playing swing. Rock Hill Graden on the west side of the park which means; It is known as a hotel built on stone. There are very attractive places in the northern part. The park also has a variety of grounds, places to hang out, and picnic spots. This park is still one of the most visited parks in Pokhara.
